BASSOON | Alexander Lenkov
Alexander Lenkov has been the solo bassoonist of the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra since 2004. He has played under the baton of conductors such as Lorin Maazel, Raphael Frübeck de Burghs, Kees Bakels, Vladimir Ashkenazi and Agee Owe and soloists such as Joshua Bell, Sumi Jo, Jean-Yves Thibodeau, Janine Jensen and many others. Alexander Lenkov completed his education at the prestigious universities in Weimar and Cologne under Professor Georgi Klyuch. He toured with the Cologne Chamber Orchestra in Germany and Europe. Alexander is also a bassoon teacher in Malaysia as well as an active participant in chamber ensembles.
