Saigon Flute Choir (Ho Chi Minh City, VIETNAM)
The Saigon Flute Choir, founded in 2020, is a pioneering ensemble in Vietnam, dedicated to fostering a vibrant and inclusive musical community. As the first flute choir in the country, it holds a unique place in the cultural landscape of Vietnam. Led by the accomplished Ms. Trang Phan, an active flute teacher based in Ho Chi Minh City, the choir was created to encourage flute students to play together and to cultivate a joyful environment for music-making.
Under Ms. Trang Phan's leadership, the Saigon Flute Choir has already made a significant impact, organizing its inaugural concert in collaboration with Ho Chi Minh City's Book Street on July 21, 2020. This event marked an important milestone, bringing flute music into the public sphere and showcasing the talents of local flutists. Looking ahead, the Saigon Flute Choir aims to continue expanding its reach and influence, offering more opportunities for flutists of all levels to collaborate and perform. The choir's goals include not only enhancing the musical skills of its members but also enriching the broader community through performances and educational initiatives. By fostering a sense of camaraderie and shared passion for music, the Saigon Flute Choir is set to inspire and uplift the next generation of musicians in Vietnam. |
