The Singapore Oboe Band consists of passionate and dedicated musicians who regularly perform in major concert venues in Singapore. The oboe band is a magnificent ensemble that was first conceived in the courts of King Louis XIV, and became popular in the rest of Europe throughout the 18th century. Oboe bands often play outdoors in large spaces, with an expectation to march along as well. This modern iteration presents a diverse programme, while maintaining the grandeur of its historical predecessors.
