INTRODUCTION
The Budding Flute Choir is part of the Autumn Flute Fair 2024, a vibrant event celebrating the flute community. The Budding Flute Choir is designed for both flute students and their teachers. This special opportunity allows young and aspiring flutists to develop ensemble skills and perform as part of a flute choir in a supportive and fun environment. The workshop is tailored for flute teachers and flute ensemble enthusiasts who are interested in learning how to find creative ways to better lead and organise flute choirs. THE APPLICATION FOR BUDDING FLUTE CHOIR HAS CLOSED
WHO CAN APPLY (application already closed)
Flute students aged 8 and above and playing at Grade 3 ABRSM and above are invited to apply. Flute students not meeting these requirements can still join us as long as they are accompanied by their teachers. Teachers are encouraged to prepare their students and are welcome to participate alongside them, while also gaining valuable insights on how to direct flute choirs.

HOW TO APPLY
Interested students and teachers must complete the application form available at [the bottom of this page]. It is recommended for teachers to sign up for their students and to allocate their students to respective parts matching their playing abilities. Applications are due by 08 Nov 2024, confirmed allocated parts will be released by 15 Nov 2024. The playlist for the selected performance repertoire can be found here.

PARTICIPATION FEES
The participation fee is $100 SGD, which covers rehearsals, materials, and the final performance as part of the Autumn Flute Fair 2024. All participants will also be provided an event pass which allows access to all performance events in the Autumn Flute Fair 2024.

- Exploring new sounds on the flute through extended techniques (students)

- Gain ensemble performance experience with the extended flute family, including alto and bass flute
- Perform original works for flute choir by contemporary composers
- Perform in front of a live audience at SOTA Concert Hall on 24 Nov 2024.
